WSOPE 2026 Heads to Prague: New Era for Europe’s Biggest Poker Festival
The World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) is making a historic move in 2026 — leaving Rozvadov after eight years to take place in Prague for the very first time. The festival will run from March 31 to April 12, 2026, hosted at the Hilton Prague Hotel in collaboration with King’s Casino Prague.
The relocation marks a new chapter for the European edition of the WSOP. Since 2017, the WSOPE has been based at King’s Resort Rozvadov, a venue that became synonymous with record-breaking fields and massive guarantees. By moving to the Czech capital, organisers aim to expand the event’s international reach, improve accessibility, and align it with the growing urban poker scene.
Unlike previous editions held in late autumn, the 2026 WSOPE will take place in spring, making it the first event of the WSOP calendar. According to WSOP CEO Ty Stewart, this change is designed to give European players a “premiere showcase” ahead of the summer WSOP in Las Vegas:
“We are thrilled to bring WSOPE to Prague — one of Europe’s most beautiful and accessible poker destinations. This move symbolises a new era for the brand and gives our players a world-class festival in a city that truly lives and breathes poker.”
The 2026 schedule will feature 15 gold bracelet events, including high-roller tournaments, mixed-game formats, and the prestigious €10,000 Main Event, which will headline the series. Organisers promise a mix of elite and mid-stakes tournaments to attract both professionals and recreational players from across Europe.
The decision to partner with King’s Casino Prague, a sister property of King’s Resort Rozvadov, ensures that the event maintains the same level of quality and professionalism for which the brand is known. The Hilton Prague venue — located in the heart of the city — will provide a large convention space, modern amenities, and accommodation options under one roof.
The move to Prague is seen as part of WSOP’s broader strategy to globalise the brand, strengthen its European base, and capitalise on the Czech Republic’s thriving poker culture. Prague has long hosted successful tournaments, including the European Poker Tour (EPT), making it a natural choice for the WSOPE’s expansion.
A full list of tournament dates, buy-ins, and side events will be released in early 2026.
