Liberia’s National Lottery Authority awards 5/90 Lotto contract to Blue Star Hi-Tech
Blue Star Hi-Tech Liberia Limited has been awarded the National Lottery Authority (NLA) International Competitive Bid to operate the 5/90 Lotto Game in Liberia. The contract was signed on February 20, 2025, in Monrovia, with Blue Star Hi-Tech CEO Mr. Clement Adu Sarpong highlighting the project’s potential to create over 500 jobs nationwide. He also emphasized the company’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and integrity in managing the game.
The 5/90 Lotto is a numbers-based game where players select five numbers from a pool of 90, with winners determined through daily random draws. NLA Director General Hon. Reginald Kpan Nagbe noted that the project will generate significant revenue to support the national budget, improve the lottery industry, and expand charitable initiatives for vulnerable groups.
NLA Board Chairman Hon. Prince Menkalo Gbieu praised the transparent bidding process and stressed the project’s alignment with the government’s ARREST Agenda. He also expressed Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung’s satisfaction with the integrity of the selection process. The partnership aims to elevate Liberia’s lottery industry while fostering economic growth and social development.
