Ethiopian Lottery Service seeks partner for digital transformation initiative

The Ethiopian Lottery Service (ELS) is seeking a strategic partner to drive its digital transformation, with organizations possessing relevant expertise invited to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) by September 4, 2024.

This partnership will cover a range of critical services. Key responsibilities include developing a scalable, user-friendly digital lottery platform and providing continuous technical support and maintenance to ensure seamless operation. The chosen partner will also be tasked with training ELS staff on the new systems and managing the transition process. Additionally, they will develop a strategic roadmap to guide the overall digital transformation.

A significant focus will be placed on operational efficiency, including the automation of back-office processes to streamline financial transactions, auditing, and reporting. The new digital platform will also be designed to meet stringent security and compliance standards, both locally and internationally. Furthermore, the initiative aims to broaden access, making lottery products available to customers regardless of their location.

As Ethiopia's exclusive lottery operator, ELS is committed to evolving into a fully digital service, enhancing customer engagement, and improving operational efficiency while promoting responsible gaming. The digital transformation will focus on several key objectives: digitizing lottery products to ensure accessibility across various platforms, developing innovative and inclusive games, and using advanced analytics to optimize game features and understand market demands.

Interested organizations are required to submit a comprehensive company profile, highlighting relevant experience, financial stability, and previous projects within the lottery or similar sectors. Submissions must be provided in both hard copy and electronic formats to the ELS Head Office in Addis Ababa.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a Request for Proposal (RFP) process, where they will have the opportunity to present detailed proposals.
