BETESE Aviator scales up with QTech in Gambia

BETESE Aviator, an emerging Gambian operator with pan-African scope, has reported strong upticks in turnover, player engagement, and retention metrics, following its decision to go live with the QTech aggregation platform earlier this year.

This multi-tenant, real-money gaming platform for the West-African market initially began life from a dedicated crash games purview, spearheaded by the must-have market pacesetter, Aviator. A sprawling succession of crash content followed for BETESE Aviator, much of it drawn directly from QTech’s portfolio of over 30 crash games suppliers, alongside a supporting series of exciting, multi-provider crash game tournaments, specifically tailored for its customers. An instant win genre was subsequently added, and within a year BETESE Aviator’s acquisition and retention metrics were exceeding projections month-on-month for a challenger brand in a highly competitive marketplace.

Moreover, QTech’s all-encompassing casino content comprises a raft of localised games, including across popular mini-verticals like lightweight games which are increasingly in-demand from African players and operators alike for overcoming potential obstacles to user experience across varied handset quality, restricted access to fast networks, or high data costs. Accordingly, this QTech-BETESE Aviator partnership is driving measurable growth through strong content, regional campaigns and market-focused collaboration.

As a result, QTech has now officially expanded its growing African footprint into Gambia, helping BETESE Aviator to evolve its offering from a successful, if one-dimensional standalone start, into a scale-up brand which is adding more casino and sportsbook content over the coming months, alongside the QTech’s array of advanced analytics, campaigns and associated marketing tools.

QTech is also able to propel BETESE Aviator’s offering forward over the year ahead by implementing its fine-grained optionality from the multiple sportsbooks now available in its product portfolio, led by some top-tier names in BETBY and Song88. After all, supplying an array of complementary strengths forms a perfect model for optionality and flexibility on the African stage, where operator success can hinge on USPs, local market adaptions, or specific managed trading requirements.

BETESE Aviator is now looking to implement this sportsbook functionality into its retail estate of street terminals across Gambia, where accumulator or parlay bets on football are calling the tune, with a 10-team (1x2) “acca” the average multi-leg bet placed. These high-margin, bet-small-win-big sports propositions are increasingly popular, and also offer cross-sell overlap with the aforementioned crash genre when traded in-play with cashout functionality. Such sportsbook innovation is already helping to bridge the gap between online casino and sports betting.

Joel Anyaegbu, Account Manager for the Region said: “It’s a real thrill to have been selected by a brand as innovative and forward-thinking as BETESE Aviator, and to be entrusted with scaling their operations across Africa. We place a premium on understanding markets at a hyper-local level to carve out a path to success in this evolving ecosystem.

“Indeed, staying local must remain paramount - whether it’s a mobile channel or a street terminal. In high-growth regions like Gambia, content diversity matters enormously because player demand evolves very quickly - and it’s also shaped by local realities such as mobile usage, data costs, device types, and payment preferences. As BETESE Aviator has found to their benefit, QTech is alive and alert to navigating these shifting sands. Together, we are also proving that innovative promotional mechanics can amplify the performance of already successful games, while deriving deeper engagement from the player and greater value to both the operator and the content provider in terms of player loyalty and retention, especially when it comes to the key metric of life-time value.

“It’s great to see BETESE adopting QTech’s new multi-sportsbook approach, within an active product suite fronted by some top-tier names, like BETBY and Song88. Naturally, football reigns supreme for initial player engagement when it comes to gambling in Africa, where the vast majority of all sports wagers are on various football leagues, with the English Premier League top of the list. Consequently, we will also be exploring the latest cross-sell techniques between sportsbook and casino.”

Gregory Agofure, CEO of BETESE Aviator, added: “BETESE Aviator is dedicated to corralling the best market-leading games and sports betting opportunities, and aligning them with the best of Gambian culture. And this collaboration with QTech achieves that over both our digital and retail kiosk channels. QTech understand that our customers expect the best gaming experience possible, and their local know-how and cutting-edge technology, allied to a collaborative way of working, have put us in pole position to navigate evolving demands in both casino and sportsbook, not to mention the pivotal cross-sell between these two pillars.

“As with many operators in the African space, Aviator provided the catalytic moment for growth for us, and we were quick to build out our crash and instant win games from there in what has quickly become a vital segment of any igaming portfolio. This genre routinely punches above its weight, and has almost become its own mini-vertical for us with instant win. Elsewhere, we’re learning that well-curated gamification features, such as live leaderboards and rewards, alongside genuine innovation like sportsbook cashout, boost online hangtime and deliver excellent margin.

“QTech offer a single technical and commercial gateway to the broadest portfolio of content, so we look forward to turning the next page in this unfolding success story.”
