WPF Ladies Weekend 2025: Women’s Poker Makes Global Debut October from 24 to 26
The World Poker Federation (WPF) is launching its first-ever Ladies Weekend, a simultaneous, women-only poker event across multiple countries, running October 24-26, 2025.
The event will span over 15 cities in 10 countries, including Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Hong Kong, Nigeria, Philippines, South Africa, Taiwan and the USA.
In Brazil, the São Paulo stage is set to be hosted at H2 Poker Club, in partnership with the Brazilian Confederation of Texas Hold’em (CBTH).
Stops in the USA will include multiple states — such as Nevada, California, Texas, Maryland, Kentucky, Mississippi and Pennsylvania — with the Las Vegas leg at Resorts World.
Besides tournament play, each location will also host workshops, networking sessions, cultural events and panels on strategy, leadership and the poker industry — all designed to strengthen the role of women in poker.
Luana Borges, President of WPF Women’s Committee, says the initiative reflects the organization’s mission: “breaking barriers, creating opportunities, amplifying women’s voices in poker.”
The WPF Ladies Weekend may become an annual highlight, with hopes of expanding to more nations and deeper global integration in future editions.
