World Sports Betting partners with South Africa’s Comrades Marathon in landmark deal

The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) has announced World Sports Betting as the Official Sports Betting Partner of the Comrades Marathon. The three-year partnership begins with the 2025 edition and runs through the 100th race in 2027.

Founded in 2002, World Sports Betting is a leading South African online sportsbook, known for its secure and innovative platform tailored to local bettors.

As part of the deal, the brand will highlight elite athletes and energize the route with a Westville activation point—15km from the finish—designed to motivate runners during the final stretch.

CMA Chairperson Mqondisi Ngcobo added, “This partnership enhances the experience for runners and spectators and aligns with the spirit of our ultramarathon.”

The 98th Comrades Marathon takes place on 8 June 2025, following the Down Run from Pietermaritzburg to Durban, covering roughly 89km.
