Winners Incorporated donates 5 Million Liberian Dollars to National County sports meet

Winners Incorporated, a prominent sports betting company in Liberia, has made a significant contribution of 5 million Liberian dollars (LRD) to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The donation will support the upcoming 2024/2025 National County Sports Meet, the nation’s premier sporting event.

The contribution, presented at Winners Inc.’s headquarters in Monrovia, reflects the company’s commitment to promoting sports development in Liberia. Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Winners Incorporated CEO Alexander Stone expressed pride in the company’s role in boosting Liberia’s sporting achievements. He emphasized that the initiative aims to nurture talent and elevate Liberia’s presence on the international football stage.

Deputy Minister of Sports G. Andy Quamie extended heartfelt gratitude to Winners Incorporated, highlighting the importance of corporate partnerships in fostering sports development across the country.

Prize Distribution

The 5 million LRD donation includes 4.8 million LRD earmarked as cash prizes for winning teams and individual awardees. An additional 200,000 LRD has been allocated as an operational budget for the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The prize distribution for the National County Sports Meet includes rewards for both men’s and women’s teams, as well as individual awards for outstanding performances.

For the Men’s Winning Teams, the first-place team will receive 2,000,000 Liberian dollars (LRD), the second-place team will be awarded 1,000,000 LRD, and the third-place team will take home 500,000 LRD.

In the Men’s Individual Awards category, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) will earn 200,000 LRD, while the highest scorer will receive 150,000 LRD. The team recognized for overall fair play will be awarded 100,000 LRD. Additionally, the best defender, best goalkeeper, and best coach will each be given 100,000 LRD. The best young player will be rewarded with 50,000 LRD.

For the Women’s Winning Teams, the first-place team will receive 250,000 LRD, the second-place team will get 150,000 LRD, and the third-place team will be awarded 100,000 LRD
