Vitality Beat Aurora 3-1 to Win StarSeries Fall as ZywOo Claims 33rd MVP

Vitality defeated Aurora 3-1 in Barcelona to win StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026, securing their first trophy since May as ZywOo delivered another dominant performance and collected the 33rd MVP award of his career.

Vitality returned to the top of the Counter-Strike podium on September 20 with a 3-1 victory over Aurora in the Grand Final of StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 in Barcelona.

The result was particularly notable because Aurora had beaten Vitality 2-1 just one day earlier in the upper-bracket final. That defeat forced Vitality into the consolidation final, where they first had to overcome FURIA before earning a rematch with Aurora.

Vitality made short work of FURIA, winning 2-0 on Cache and Anubis, before returning to the server later the same day for the best-of-five final. In total, the team played six maps during the final day of competition.

The rematch with Aurora looked very different from the previous day's encounter. Vitality dominated Anubis 13-4, before Aurora responded with a narrow 13-11 victory on Inferno. Vitality then took complete control, winning Mirage 13-4 and Cache 13-7 to close the series.

ZywOo was once again at the centre of the victory. The French star finished the Grand Final with 71 kills, a 1.51 rating and 95.3 average damage per round, leading the server in several statistical categories.

His performance across the entire tournament was even more impressive. ZywOo averaged a 1.50 rating, 0.24 higher than the next-best player at the event, and received the HLTV x 1xBET MVP award. It was the 33rd MVP medal of his career, extending his all-time record.

The title also ended an unusually long trophy drought by Vitality's recent standards. Their previous tournament victory came at BLAST Rivals on May 3. StarSeries was also the first event in some time where Vitality were again competing with their usual five-man lineup after earlier roster availability issues.

StarSeries Fall featured eight teams and a total prize pool of $500,000, with Vitality earning $100,000 for first place and Aurora receiving $65,000 as runners-up. FURIA finished third.

For Vitality, the Barcelona victory restores momentum after a more difficult period and gives the team an important title ahead of the next major part of the CS2 season. For Aurora, reaching the final remains another positive sign for a relatively new roster that had already shown its potential by beating Vitality earlier in the tournament.
