US gaming revenue up 6% in July 2023
Combined revenue from slot machines, table games and sportsbooks at land-based casinos, and online bets placed in the United States in July 2023 was $5.39 billion, a record high for that month. This follows from a report published on September 14 by the American Gaming Association (AGA), which provides data for 33 states and the District of Columbia.
The income received was 5.9% more than in the same period last year.
Slot machine revenue was $3.13 billion, up 3.2%. Casino table games brought in $976.3 million (+1.7%) and sports betting brought in $497.7 million (+28.4%). Online gambling revenue reached $481.5 million, an increase of 22.6% year-over-year.
For the seven months of 2023, the US gambling industry generated revenue of $37.91 billion, up 11.0% from a year earlier.
