US gaming revenue up 5,9% in October 2023
Gross gaming revenue from slot machines, table games and betting offices of land-based casinos, as well as online bets made in the United States in October 2023 was $5.63 billion, according to a report published the other day by the American Gaming Association (AGA), which provides data for 33 states and the Federal District of Columbia.
The revenue generated was 5.9 per cent higher than the same period last year.
Slot machine revenue totalled $3.96 billion, showing an increase of 0.7%. Casino table games brought in $804.0 million (-0.7%), while sports betting brought in $1.31 billion (+38.8%). Online gambling revenue reached $533.6 million, up 17.8% year-on-year.
For the first ten months of 2023, the US gambling industry generated $54.40bn in revenue, up 9.6% year-on-year.
