US gambling revenue up 10% in 2023
Gross gaming revenue from slot machines, table games and bookmakers of land-based casinos, as well as online betting made in the United States in 2023 reached $ 66.52 billion, This follows from the report published the other day by the American Gaming Association (AGA).
The revenue generated was 10.0% higher than in 2022, when the figure was $60.5 billion.
Revenue from slot machines reached $35.51 billion, showing an increase of 3.8%. Casino table games brought in $10.31 billion in revenue, up 3.5% from the previous year.
Sports betting generated record revenue of $10.9 billion, up 44.5% from a year earlier. Sports betting grew 27.8% to $119.8 billion, which was also a new record.
