US gaming revenue grew 6% in Q3 2023
Gross gaming revenue from slot machines, table games and sportsbooks at land-based casinos, as well as online bets made in the United States in the third quarter of 2023 was $16.178 billion, according to a recently released report from the American Gaming Association (AGA). which provides data for 33 states and the District of Columbia.
The income received was 6.1% more than in the same period last year.
Compared to the same period last year, slot machine revenue increased 1.7% to $8.98 billion. .Casino table game revenue increased 3.8% to $2.64 billion. Sports betting generated $2.15 billion in revenue, up 22.8% from the year before. Online gambling generated revenue of $1.52 billion, showing an increase of 26%.
Over the three quarters of 2023, total gaming revenue was $48.69 billion, up 10% from the same nine months in 2022.
