Uganda's gaming regulator warns punters to withdraw funds from Sportybet and Msport
The Uganda National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board has issued a public notice to punters to withdraw their funds from betting sites Sportybet and Msport, effective immediately. The regulator announced that these platforms are no longer accepting user deposits.
The notice, published on the regulator's website, states: "Take notice that Taichi Casino Limited trading as Sportybet and Red Flower Limited trading as Msport are currently not accepting user deposits. All punters are advised to withdraw the funds on their accounts."
This move follows the recent closure of Bang Casino, operated by Rubine Box Uganda Limited, which was announced by the regulator a few days prior.
The Uganda National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board has issued a total of 60 licenses to various gambling companies operating in the country. These licenses are categorized into different types, including General betting operating license, Casino operating license, Gambling software operating license, Gaming or betting machines general operating license, Gaming or betting machines technical operating license, and National Lottery operating License.
