Tundra Esports win ESL One Birmingham 2026 after 3 1 Grand Final victory over Team Yandex
Tundra Esports closed out ESL One Birmingham 2026 with a 3–1 win over Team Yandex, turning a strong playoff run into the title and confirming their status as one of the leading Dota 2 teams of the current circuit.
ESL One Birmingham 2026 has now concluded in the United Kingdom, with Tundra Esports finishing first in the final standings. On ESL’s official event page, Tundra are listed as champions with total winnings of $290,000, while Team Yandex finished second on $130,000 and Xtreme Gaming placed third on $80,000.
The title was decided in a best-of-five Grand Final in which Tundra beat Team Yandex 3–1. Field Level Media reported that Tundra dropped the opening map but recovered to take the next three, sealing the series after a long second map and then closing out the final two games much more quickly. The same report noted that Tundra had already beaten Yandex 2–0 a day earlier in the upper-bracket final.
Team Yandex still emerged as one of the tournament’s biggest stories. After falling to Tundra in the upper bracket, the team stayed alive by defeating Xtreme Gaming 2–1 in the lower-bracket final to reach the championship series. That run made Yandex the surprise finalist of the event and helped give Birmingham a more unpredictable finish than many expected at the start of the playoffs.
For Tundra, this result was more than just another trophy. ESL’s official standings show the team also collected 8,000 ESL Pro Tour points, which strengthens its position in the broader 2025–2026 competitive cycle. For the Dota 2 scene, Birmingham ended with a familiar message: Tundra remain one of the benchmark teams when a major title is on the line, while Team Yandex have shown they can now compete deep into elite international events. This final assessment is an inference based on the tournament results and standings.
