Tottenham are in talks with Brentford over the transfer of 28-year-old forward Yoane Wissa

The footballer attracted the interest of the Londoners after the team was headed by former Brentford coach Thomas Frank. It is noted that there have already been preliminary contacts between the parties. Most likely, the player's price will not be less than £ 40 million (€ 47 million)

The player's current employment agreement with the club is calculated until the summer of 2026. According to information presented on the Transfermarkt portal, the player's market value is € 32 million.

Recall that Wissa has been playing for Brentford since August 2021. Last season, Wissa participated in 39 matches in all tournaments, in which he was remembered for 19 goals and 4 assists, and his xG / 90 indicator was - 0.65.

In terms of professional development, a move to a higher-level club opens up new prospects for Vissa. Tottenham have European ambitions, greater media exposure and high standards of play. Given the player’s age, such a move could be one of the last chances to establish himself at a top Premier League club and compete for trophies.

On the other hand, a move to a more competitive environment is associated with the risk of reducing playing time. Tottenham’s current squad already includes strong attacking players, and the presence of additional competition could limit Vissa’s opportunities for regular appearances in the starting lineup.

Given the player’s age, this is an investment designed for short-term effectiveness. Given the cost of a possible transfer, the club will need to get a quick return without the prospect of further capitalization on resale.
