Timeless Passion A Purpose Driven Initiative Connecting Sport Community and Innovation in Sri Lanka

This mindset guided the creation of Timeless Passion, a long-term, sports-oriented initiative designed to spotlight genuine stories of teamwork, commitment, and ambition. The first edition of Timeless Passion took place in Sri Lanka through the Timeless Passion Cricket Challenge, where amateur teams from across the country were invited to share how the sport influences their daily lives and local environments. What began as a simple idea quickly evolved into a nationwide initiative with a remarkably positive community response. Teams mobilised friends, families, and supporters, and the challenge found its place naturally within Sri Lanka’s vibrant cricket culture.

Recognising the Mighty Ducks

Among all participating teams, The Mighty Ducks stood out for their creativity, resilience, and clear devotion to the sport, something that felt honest and easy for any cricket player to relate to. We felt their story captured the essence of Timeless Passion which aims to give visibility to athletes who often train with limited resources yet demonstrate exceptional dedication.

Their progress through the challenge resonated strongly with audiences who appreciate honest storytelling. These qualities mirror the emotional landscape of many global regions where sport is more than competition and acts as a shared language within communities.

The Winning Ceremony in Colombo

To honour the Mighty Ducks and recognise the effort of all participating teams Timeless Passion hosted a Winning Ceremony in Colombo. The event brought together players, their families, supporters and members of the local cricket community.

Nicola Cainero, our Chief Operating Officer, attended the ceremony and presented the official cheque of LKR 700,000 to the team. This contribution marks the beginning of their journey toward upgrading their cricket equipment and continuing their progress in a supported environment.

As part of the award the Mighty Ducks selected their new professional cricket gear and custom jerseys were created and designed with the Timeless Passion identity for a squad of twenty one players. The ceremony highlighted not only the team’s achievement but also our intention to create value that remains long after the challenge concludes.
