The portal of the gambling regulator Curaçao started registering online gambling licences
The Curacao Gambling Control Board (GCB) portal recently began accepting applications for account registration for applicants and sublicense holders.
The launch of the online portal took place in September 2023, but until recently registration on it was not carried out.
Previously, four companies that were previously issued master licenses had the right to issue licenses for online gambling: Curacao eGaming, Gaming Curacao (GC), Antilephone NV and Curacao Interactive Licensing NV. All existing sub-licensees will now be transferred to the new system, with the option of converting their sub-license to a transition license which will be valid for 12 months.
Going forward, B2C operators will have to pay a license application fee of around €4,000, followed by an annual license fee of €12,000, plus €250 per month for the URL.
Currently, about 450 gambling operators operate under a Curacao license.
