Team Spirit Beat MOUZ to Win BLAST Open Porto as donk Claims Back-to-Back MVP

Team Spirit defeated MOUZ 3-1 in the BLAST Open Porto 2026 Grand Final, securing their second consecutive major trophy, while Danil “donk” Kryshkovets continued his outstanding individual run by earning another MVP award.

Team Spirit have been crowned champions of BLAST Open Porto 2026 after beating MOUZ 3-1 in the Grand Final on September 6. The victory gave Spirit their second tournament title in succession and provided immediate revenge for their defeat to MOUZ in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 final.

Spirit took control of the best-of-five series on Dust2, winning the opening map 13-8. MOUZ responded on Mirage and managed to level the final with a narrow 13-11 victory, but the momentum shifted decisively after that.

Ancient turned into a one-sided affair. Spirit dominated the map 13-3, giving MOUZ little opportunity to establish an economy or build any meaningful run of rounds. The same pattern continued on Nuke, where Spirit closed the series with a convincing 13-6 victory to secure the trophy.

The result completed an unbeaten tournament run for Spirit, who won all five of their matches at BLAST Open Porto. Before reaching the final, they had defeated FURIA in the group stage and then eliminated Team Falcons 2-0 in the semi-finals. MOUZ, meanwhile, reached the title match after an impressive 2-0 semi-final victory against Vitality.

Spirit collected the $150,000 first-place prize from a total tournament prize pool of $1.1 million, alongside a $100,000 club share under BLAST's distribution system. MOUZ received $60,000 for finishing second, as well as its corresponding club share.

The individual spotlight once again fell on Danil “donk” Kryshkovets. The 19-year-old was named the tournament's HLTV MVP after finishing the event with a 1.40 average rating. His strongest performances included a dominant group stage and an important contribution on Ancient in the Grand Final, when the series was still delicately balanced at 1-1.

It was also donk's second MVP award in consecutive tournaments. He had already claimed the honour at the Esports World Cup in August, where Spirit lifted the trophy after beating FUT in the final. The Porto medal brought his career MVP tally to 13, including ten at Big Events, moving him ahead of Nikola “NiKo” Kovač in that category.

Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov was another major factor in Spirit's success. He produced an excellent performance throughout the final and was particularly influential on Dust2, where his second-half impact helped Spirit establish an early advantage in the series.

For MOUZ, the defeat ends another deep tournament run but does little to diminish their strong recent form. The team had beaten Spirit 3-1 in their previous Grand Final meeting at BLAST Bounty Season 2 and eliminated Vitality on the way to the Porto final, underlining their position among the leading teams in the current CS2 scene.

For Spirit, however, the result may be even more significant than another trophy. Back-to-back titles at the Esports World Cup and BLAST Open Porto suggest that the team has regained the consistency required to remain at the top of Counter-Strike. With donk continuing to deliver MVP-level performances and the rest of the roster showing increasing stability, Spirit are entering the next part of the 2026 season as one of the teams everyone else will have to beat.
