Team Falcons win Rocket League title and retake EWC Club Championship lead

Team Falcons swept Spacestation Gaming 4-0 in the Rocket League Grand Final at the Esports World Cup, earning $400,000 and 1,000 Club Championship points. The victory has moved the Saudi organisation back to the top of the overall standings with one week remaining.

Team Falcons have won the Rocket League competition at the 2026 Esports World Cup after producing a dominant 4-0 victory over Spacestation Gaming in the Grand Final on August 16. The title earned Falcons $400,000 from the tournament prize pool and, more importantly for the wider EWC race, 1,000 Club Championship points.

The Saudi organisation competed with twin brothers Yazid “Kiileerrz” Bakhashwin and Saleh “Rw9” Bakhashwin alongside Samy “dralii” Hajji. Rw9 was named tournament MVP after Falcons completed a run that became increasingly dominant during the knockout stage.

Their path to the title was not entirely straightforward. Falcons trailed Twisted Minds 1-2 in their quarterfinal and were 2-5 down during the fourth game before recovering to win in overtime and eventually take the series 4-2. From that point, however, the team did not lose another game. Falcons swept defending EWC Rocket League champions Karmine Corp 4-0 in the semifinal before repeating the same score against Spacestation Gaming in the final, finishing the tournament with 11 consecutive game victories.

The triumph also produced a notable individual record for dralii. The Moroccan player has now won Rocket League at the Esports World Cup three consecutive times with three different organisations — Team BDS, Karmine Corp and Team Falcons — making him the first three-time EWC champion, according to the tournament coverage.

For Falcons, the victory carries significance beyond the Rocket League trophy. The 1,000 points gained in Paris lifted the organisation to 4,400 points in the 2026 EWC Club Championship, putting it back into first place ahead of AG.AL on 4,100. Natus Vincere currently sits third with 2,450 points, while Team Vitality follows with 2,400.

The Club Championship rewards organisations for results across multiple esports titles rather than performance in a single game. The 2026 competition has a $30 million overall club prize pool, with $7 million allocated to the winning organisation, $5 million to second place and $4 million to third. Clubs must also satisfy eligibility requirements that include at least two top-eight finishes and one tournament victory.

Falcons now enter the seventh and final week of the Esports World Cup in the strongest position, although the overall title is not yet secured. Their teams remain involved in other competitions, including Counter-Strike 2, giving the organisation opportunities to add further Club Championship points before the event concludes on August 23.

The Rocket League victory therefore changes the wider EWC race as much as it settles the individual tournament. Falcons have converted one of their strongest esports disciplines into a crucial 1,000-point gain at exactly the right moment, while AG.AL and other challengers now have limited time to respond. With only the final week remaining, the battle for the Club Championship and its $7 million first prize has entered its decisive stage.
