SportPesa donates KES 2 million to Kenya Rugby Legends for friendly match against Uganda
According to a report by LOLWE TV KENYA on YouTube, betting company SportPesa has affirmed its partnership with Kenya's Rugby Legends in a deal that will see the celebrated roster of former top-flight players receive KES 2 million in sponsorship support towards their doubleheader against their counterparts from Uganda.
The Legends, led by coach Oscar Osir, are set to face Uganda in the first leg of the match on June 8 at the Kings Park Arena in Kampala. The return fixture will take place a week later in Nairobi.
The collaboration with SportPesa aligns with the company's Tujiamini Initiative, which focuses on nurturing rugby talent from grassroots to professional levels. The sponsorship aims to support the Legends' preparations and boost their chances of defending their Legends Cup title against a strengthened Ugandan side.
The partnership marks SportPesa's continued commitment to the rich legacy of rugby in Kenya by tapping into the invaluable mentorship potential of the Legends to inspire and uplift the next generation of rugby stars.
