Senegal's Nicolas Jackson tops list of Africa's most valuable footballers

In a recent list published by the CIES Football Observatory after the 2023/24 European season, 22-year-old Senegalese forward Nicolas Jackson has claimed the title of the most valuable player from Africa. Representing Chelsea, Jackson’s market value stands at an impressive €99.3 million.

Nicolas Jackson's meteoric rise to the top of the African player value rankings has been fueled by his scintillating performances for Chelsea since joining the Premier League giants from Spanish side Villarreal in the summer of 2023. The Senegalese forward has been a revelation for the London club, netting an impressive 17 goals in 44 matches across all competitions.

Following closely behind is Ghanaian winger Mohammed Kudus, aged 23, who plays for West Ham United. Kudus secures the second spot among African players with a market value of €89.6 million.

Nigerian forward Victor Boniface, aged 23 and representing Bayern Leverkusen, holds the third position. His market value is €86.5 million.

Completing the top five are Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen (25 years old, Napoli) with a value of €85.6 million and Moroccan winger Brahim Díaz (24 years old, Real Madrid) valued at €76.4 million.

Notably, the world’s most valuable player remains 20-year-old Englishman Jude Bellingham, an attacking midfielder for Real Madrid, whose market value reaches an impressive €280.4 million.
