In a move that signals a new era for the Senegalese National Lottery (LONASE), Toussaint Manga, the recently appointed Director General, has announced a series of transformative reforms during his inauguration ceremony on May 31st.

Manga replaces former LONASE chief Abdurrahman Balde, tasked with steering the organization towards a more progressive and impactful future.

Manga's ambitious plans, backed by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, and Minister of Finance and Budget, aim to reposition LONASE as a leader in the industry. Key priorities include enhancing the quality of products and services, strengthening social and environmental responsibility, implementing exemplary governance practices.

The new Director General's most significant objective is to reshape LONASE into a strategic instrument for executing the sovereign initiative championed by the President of the Republic. Acknowledging the magnitude of this undertaking, Manga remains steadfast in his belief that success is attainable.

The Ministry of Economy, Planning, and Cooperation oversees the regulation and supervision of gambling activities in Senegal, including casinos, lotteries, and horse racing. As the state-run lottery operator, LONASE's operations and reforms will be closely monitored by the government.

With Toussaint Manga at the helm, LONASE is poised to undergo a transformative journey, aligning its goals with the President's vision and elevating its standards to better serve the Senegalese people.
