For gamblers in Greece, a national self-exclusion register has been proposed. The Hellenic Gaming Commission (EEEP) has come up with a corresponding initiative. It is assumed that players will be able to self-exclude for a period of one week to 10 months.

The registry will be maintained by EEEP. The regulator will have to indicate the duration of the blocking and the licensee to which the blocking request was sent.

Self-exclusion can be removed after its expiration or if the player submits a request to remove the ban.

Another proposal from the regulator was the creation of an individual player card, which would allow them to participate in casino games while being linked to their online account. In addition, the bill proposes to oblige every casino to open a studio for live games.

The proposed measures are put up for public discussion, which will last until September 15, 2023.
