Revenue of Veikkaus grew in the first half of 2023

Finnish monopoly operator Veikkaus Oy's gaming revenue for the first half of 2023 totalled 519 million euros. This follows from a report published by the company the other day.

Compared to the same period last year, revenue increased by 0.6%.

An increase of 9.4% in the first half of the year was recorded in the online casino segment, where this figure amounted to 93.2 million euros.

Veikkaus profit amounted to 311.9 million euros, down 5.7%. Operating profit decreased by 6.2% to €310.2 million.

The decline in profits was affected by an increase in lottery tax and increased Veikkaus development expenses.
