Red Bull Launches “Solo Legends” India’s Largest Ever BGMI Esports Tournament
Red Bull has officially announced “Solo Legends,” the biggest-ever Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament open to individual players across the country, with national qualifiers starting in November 2025.
Registration for the Red Bull Solo Legends competition runs until October 31, with online qualifiers scheduled from November 5 to 16, followed by regional playoffs and a grand final in early December. The tournament offers a ₹10 million (US$120,000) prize pool and aims to spotlight India’s top solo BGMI talent.
According to Red Bull India’s esports division, the event will use a solo format instead of team play, focusing on individual skill, strategy, and clutch performance — a move that diversifies the country’s competitive scene. Matches will be streamed live on YouTube and Rooter, ensuring broad visibility for rising players.
Speaking about the launch, Red Bull Esports India said:
“The Solo Legends platform will empower India’s next generation of gamers, offering everyone from casual players to pros a fair chance to shine on a national stage.”
The tournament follows the success of Red Bull M.E.O., which previously featured team-based BGMI and Clash Royale formats. By switching to an individual-based structure, Red Bull aims to widen participation and uncover new esports stars in India’s booming gaming market.
India’s esports audience has grown exponentially, now surpassing 120 million viewers, according to FICCI-EY 2025 data. With BGMI remaining one of the country’s most-played titles, Solo Legends could set a new benchmark for solo competitive events.
