President of Nigeria launches strategic plan for National Lottery Trust Fund

President Bola Tinubu has officially launched a comprehensive four-year strategic plan for the National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF), aimed at enhancing its operations and maximizing its impact on good causes across Nigeria. The unveiling took place at the Aso Villa Banquet Hall in Abuja, marking a significant milestone in the history of the NLTF.

Representing the president, Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, expressed confidence in the strategic plan’s potential to improve outreach to marginalized communities. He emphasized that this initiative is part of President Tinubu’s broader efforts to drive economic transformation, ensure security, enhance food production, and improve social services. Akume stated that through the NLTF, many vulnerable Nigerians will receive much-needed support.

During the event, Executive Secretary Comrade Tosin Adeyanju praised President Tinubu for introducing the Revenue Assurance Platform (RAP), which he believes will help optimize revenue generation within the lottery sector. Adeyanju presented the four-year strategic plan, developed during his first two months in office, and pledged to fulfill his duties in line with the president’s expectations.

He highlighted that since its inception in 2005, the NLTF has successfully implemented over 306 projects nationwide, positively impacting lives and transforming communities. The strategic plan aligns with the current administration’s vision for sustainable development and social welfare.
