Playtech unveils third edition of Latin American gambling industry report

Playtech has launched the third edition of its e-book on the Latin American gambling industry, highlighting player trends, concerns, and responsible gaming insights.

The report, based on a survey of 2,500 participants from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and Colombia, examines shifting player perceptions amid new regulations in Brazil and Peru. Confidence in the industry is rising, with only 25% of respondents citing fraud and gambling-related harm as concerns. Peru leads in engagement, with 92% betting monthly, while 80% support stricter advertising regulations.

In Argentina, 77% favor tighter controls on betting ads, and 88% back stronger age verification. In Chile, 63% prefer licensed platforms, though only 15% feel well-informed about regulations. Colombia, the most mature market surveyed, prioritizes secure payment providers, with 58% of players citing this as a key factor.

Playtech CEO Mor Weizer reaffirmed the company’s commitment to responsible gambling and industry growth. “As regulations evolve, Latin America presents immense opportunities. Playtech is proud to support the sector’s sustainable development while promoting safer gambling.”

Security remains a top priority across all markets, with legality and platform registration being critical for player confidence. Playtech’s full report is available for free download.
