The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation's (PAGCOR) gaming revenue for the period from January 1 to July 31, 2023 was PHP 36.21 billion (USD 640 million). The local publication Manila Bulletin wrote about this recently, citing a report from the Bureau of the Treasury.

Compared to the same period last year, revenue increased by 35.6%. However, when compared with pre-pandemic 2019, when this figure was 38.81 billion Philippine pesos, it decreased by 6.7%.

Php 34.12 billion of revenue came from gaming operations revenue and fees collected from licensees.

During the seven months of 2023, PAGCOR transferred PHP 18.84 billion to the government coffers, up 43% from the PHP 13.12 billion transferred a year earlier. At the same time, when compared with the same period in 2019, the size of transfers was less by 1.29 billion Philippine pesos.

As a reminder, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) acts as the regulatory body for casinos and gaming. The company authorizes and licenses gambling games including blackjack, craps, poker, slot machines and bingo. There are currently 12 casinos licensed by regulators in the Philippines, which house more than 2,300 gaming tables and about 20,000 slot machines.

PAGCOR also operates 13 of its own casinos, including Casino Filipino Midas, Casino Filipino Malate, Casino Filipino Pavilion.
