PAGCOR revenue up 38% in six months of 2023

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) had gaming revenue of 34.12 billion Philippine pesos (US$623 million) for the first six months of 2023. This follows a PAGCOR report released the previous day.
Compared to the same period last year, revenue rose 38.0 per cent.
PAGCOR recorded a net profit of about 2.96 billion Philippine pesos, up 37.36% year-on-year.
PAGCOR's total revenue stood at 36.21 billion Philippine pesos, up 35.64% from a year earlier. Costs, meanwhile, rose about 16.99% year-on-year to Php12.33 billion.
Recall that the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) acts as the regulatory body for casinos and gambling. It permits and licences gambling games including blackjack, crepes, poker, slot machines and bingo. It currently has 12 casinos licensed by the regulator in the Philippines, hosting more than 2,300 gaming tables and about 20,000 slot machines.
PAGCOR also operates 13 casinos of its own, including Casino Filipino Midas, Casino Filipino Malate, Casino Filipino Pavilion.
