Peru creates a Directorate for the Licensing and Registration of Remote Gambling and Sports Betting
On July 19, 2025, a Supreme Decree formally approved the Directorate for the Licensing and Registration of Remote Gambling and Sports Betting, replacing the Organization and Functions Regulation (ROF) adopted in 2002.
The new organizational structure, according to Mincetur, is in line with the guidelines of state organizations and the new legal provisions that define the functions of the industry, such as Law No. 31557, which regulates remote gambling and betting, and Law No. 32392, the new General Law on Tourism.
The directorate should replace the ROF and create the Directorate of Authorization and Registration of Remote Gaming and Sports Betting within the General Directorate of Casino Games and Slot Machines (DGJCMT), headed by the Peruvian regulator Yuri Guerra Padilla.
