Paraguay’s Conajzar posts 23% jump in January 2026 canon revenue
DNIT’s updated canon table shows PYG 18.72bn collected in January, extending the momentum after a record 2025.
DNIT’s portal for Conajzar has published an updated “Cuadro comparativo de canones percibidos” through January, showing canon fiscal revenue of PYG 18,715,885,541 for January 2026.
That January figure is 23.4% higher year-on-year versus January 2025 (PYG 15,163,090,378), and is roughly USD 2.75m at prevailing rates as reported by industry media referencing the same official dataset.
The stronger start comes after 2025 closed at PYG 215,940,913,734 in total canons (up 22.85% versus 2024), one of the highest readings in at least a decade.
Regulatory changes remain a key backdrop: DNIT has previously outlined that Law No. 7438/2025 brought Conajzar under DNIT and strengthened oversight, including changes such as opening certain game modalities to more competition (up to three operators per modality) alongside tighter fiscalization.
If monthly updates keep tracking above last year, 2026 is shaping up for another strong run—but the next DNIT releases will clarify whether January’s jump reflects a sustained trend or a one-off calendar effect.
