OPAP reports 13% revenue growth in Q2 2023
Greek gaming operator OPAP's gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the second quarter of 2023 amounted to €345 million. This follows from the financial report of Greece's leading gambling company.
According to the contents of the document, GGR grew by 13% compared to the same period last year, when this figure was 304 million euros.
Lotteries remained the main source of revenue, with sales up 8% year-on-year to €178 million.
Income from betting activities increased by 14% to €152 million.
Revenue from video lottery terminals (VLT) was €81 million, up 9% year-on-year.
Online casino revenue increased by 38% to €58 million.
EBITDA, which is equal to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, increased by 7% to €178 million.
