Niger's ministry denies false claims on cryptocurrency awareness sessions

The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Niger has issued an official denial regarding false information circulating on social media about the launch of awareness sessions for online cryptocurrency investment.

Since Thursday, November 14, 2024, malicious individuals have been using the state seal and the title of the Ministry to spread misleading claims about these supposed sessions, which were said to be organized in collaboration with financial experts. The Ministry clarifies that no such initiative has ever been undertaken, categorizing this information as entirely false and unfounded.

The Ministry urges the public to remain vigilant and report any attempts to discredit its institutions. Furthermore, it advises against engaging in any activities related to this fraudulent scheme, distancing itself from any responsibility associated with this false announcement.
