Nigeria's National Lottery Trust Fund partners with Defence Headquarters for Africa Military Games
The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) has officially partnered with the Defence Headquarters for the upcoming Africa Military Games, set to take place in Nigeria this November. Air Vice Marshal Abidemi Marquis, Chairman of the Sport Organising Committee, led a delegation to the NLTF office to discuss the collaboration.
During the meeting, Marquis emphasized the significant economic benefits of the games, projected to be in the multi-billion naira range, and highlighted the opportunity for Nigeria to enhance its international visibility. He also praised the recent leadership changes within the NLTF.
NLTF Executive Secretary Comrade Tosin Adeyanju commended the leadership of Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, for advancements in national security. He assured the Defence team of NLTF's ongoing support, citing the positive economic impact of the games as a key reason for this partnership.
The delegation included notable military personnel such as Major General M Abdullahi, Commander A Umaru, and Wing Commander A Mohammed, among others.
This partnership aims to harness the potential of the Africa Military Games to benefit the nation and improve the lives of Nigerians. The event is expected to gather military personnel from across the continent, fostering unity and friendly competition.
