Nigerian bookmakers and Gamble Alert discuss strategies for gambling addiction prevention
Last week, the Association of Nigerian Bookmakers (ANB) welcomed a courtesy visit from the Gamble Alert team, marking an important step towards promoting responsible gaming. During the meeting, both organizations discussed key issues, including harm minimization strategies and raising awareness about gambling addiction prevention.
A central focus was the need to educate stakeholders and gaming operators on responsible gambling principles and how to protect individuals from the negative effects of gambling. The visit emphasized a call to action, reinforcing ANB's core value of "Promoting Responsible Gaming."
Established in 2014, the ANB represents over 100 sports betting and gaming operators across Nigeria, advocating for fair regulations and responsible gaming practices. The association plays a crucial role in fostering business growth and ensuring compliance in the industry.
Gamble Alert, a community of professionals dedicated to responsible gambling, plays a vital role in these initiatives, working alongside the ANB to create a safer gambling environment in Nigeria.
