Nigeria expands casino gaming landscape with new permits for Kaizen Gaming and Lucky9ja Lotto Ltd

The National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) of Nigeria has granted Casino Gaming Permits to Kaizen Gaming and Lucky9ja Lotto Ltd, according to the regulator's official announcement on X on August 6th.

Kaizen Gaming, a prominent GameTech company based in Greece, is recognized as one of the fastest-growing firms in Europe. Established in 2018, the company operates under the brands Stoiximan and Betano, providing a wide range of sports betting and live casino games across multiple countries, including Greece and South America.

Lucky9ja Lotto Ltd, a Nigerian company, operates the iLOT betting and gaming platform. It holds both sports betting and lottery licenses from the NLRC in Nigeria.

Director-General of the National Lottery Commission, Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila, also presided over Know Your Customer sessions with Betfigo Ltd and Seado Integrated Ltd, who seek to obtain Sports Betting Permits.

The NLRC was established in 2005 with the passage of the National Lottery Act to oversee lottery operations, promote accountability and transparency in the lottery industry, and defend the interests of stakeholders, lottery players, and the general public.

The NLRC categorizes the gaming industry in Nigeria to best suit the ever-changing and evolving gaming environment, issuing licenses for Lottery, Sports Betting, Interactive/Mobile Lottery/Gaming, Promotional Lottery, and Casino Gaming.
