New Jersey's gambling revenue grew by 5% in July 2023

Gross gaming revenue (GGR) of casinos, racetracks and online operators in the US state of New Jersey reached $506.2 million in July 2023. This is reported in the monthly report of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), published the other day.
According to the contents of the document, compared to July 2022, revenue increased by 5.3 per cent.
Atlantic City land-based casinos generated $290 million in revenue in July 2023, down 3.0% from a year earlier. Slot machine revenue reached $217.8 million and gaming table revenue reached $72.2 million.
$155 million in revenue was generated from online gambling, up 13.5% from June 2022.
Sports betting revenue increased 35.6% to $61.0 million.
Borgata Casino was the highest revenue earner among Atlantic City gambling establishments at $78.6 million. The top three also included Hard Rock ($50.1 million) and Ocean Casino Resort ($37.7 million).
Recall that in Atlantic City operate nine casinos: Bally's, Borgata, Caesars, Golden Nugget, Hard Rock, Harrah's, Ocean Casino Resort, Resorts and Tropicana.
