New Jersey gaming revenue up 13% in August 2023
Gross gaming revenue (GGR) of casinos, racetracks and online operators in the US state of New Jersey reached $531.6 million in August 2023. This was reported in the monthly report of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Control (DGE), published recently.
According to the contents of the document, compared to August 2022, income increased by 12.9%.
Atlantic City's land-based casinos generated $280.3 million in revenue in August 2023, up 2.3% from the year before. Revenue from slot machines reached $210.5 million, and from gaming tables - $69.7 million.
$155.3 million in revenue was generated from online gambling, up 18.1% from August 2022.
Sports betting revenue rose 47.1% to $96 million.
The Borgata casino received the largest income from Atlantic City gambling establishments - $73.0 million. The top three also included Hard Rock ($50.7 million) and Ocean Casino Resort ($39.5 million). Let us remind you that there are nine casinos in Atlantic City: Bally's, Borgata, Caesars, Golden Nugget, Hard Rock, Harrah's, Ocean Casino Resort, Resorts and Tropicana.
New Jersey's gross gaming revenue reached $3.76 billion for the eight months of 2023, up 11.2% from the same period last year.
