New Gambling Federation Announced in Latin America
At GAT Expo CDMX 2025, the creation of a new gambling federation was officially announced, uniting associations from six countries: Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic.
The goal of the federation is to strengthen cooperation in the gambling sector, spread a responsible approach to gambling and create a single regulatory method in the region.
The federation includes:
Miguel Angel Ochoa - President of AIEJA (Mexico);
Lorena Rojas - President of APOJA (Paraguay);
Fernando Calderon - President of the National Gaming Society SONAJA (Peru);
Elizabeth Maya Cano - President of CORNASAR (Colombia);
David Moniz - President of the Dominican Association of Gaming Casinos;
Javier Milian - President of CIBELAE (Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Betting).
Evert Montero, who became the first president of the IGA and under whose leadership the announcement of the new gambling federation was made, emphasized the spirit of unity in the new organization and the interest of all parties in the development of the industry.
