Nevada casino revenues top $1.2 billion in August 2023
The gross gaming revenue of more than 400 casinos operating in the US state of Nevada exceeded a billion dollars in August 2023 for the 30th consecutive month. This follows from a financial report recently published on the website of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
According to the contents of the document, gambling revenue for the reporting period amounted to $1.21 billion, which is 0.07% less than in August 2022. Compared to July of this year, gambling revenue decreased by $200 million.
$829.2 million of casino revenue was attributable to slot machines, down 2.1% from a year earlier. Board games generated $308.1 million in revenue. The largest table game revenue came from baccarat, at $116 million. Next comes blackjack - $99 million.
Las Vegas Strip casino revenues reached $666.8 million, up 1% from a year earlier.
