National self-exclusion platform launched in Cyprus
Cyprus has launched a national self-exclusion platform (NSEP). This was announced by the National Betting Authority of Cyprus at a press conference held on February 20.
The launch of the platform took place within the framework of the Gambling Security Strategy 2022-2025.
Once registered on the platform, players will be able to self-exclude themselves from playing at online bookmakers licensed in the Republic of Cyprus. The self-exclusion of players from online betting can be either temporary or indefinite.
During the period of self-exclusion the player will only be able to withdraw funds from his gambling account and will not be allowed to create a new account.
