The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) of Nigeria has announced a strategic partnership with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) aimed at tackling youth unemployment and supporting individuals with disabilities. This collaboration seeks to launch an innovative initiative that will create sustainable employment opportunities and promote skills development for Nigerian youths, women, and people living with disabilities.

During a recent visit to the NDE, NLTF Executive Secretary Comrade Tosin Adeyanju reaffirmed the organization's commitment to youth empowerment through initiatives that foster employment. “We are committed to partnering with NDE to address youth unemployment. Our collaboration will provide opportunities for skills development, leading to job creation,” Adeyanju stated.

NDE Director General Silas Agara highlighted the ambitious goals of this partnership, stating that it aims to provide training, entrepreneurship support, and job opportunities for over 50,000 youths and women by October. He also emphasized the importance of inclusivity for people living with disabilities in this initiative.

Agara praised Adeyanju's leadership, noting, “Tosin brings a unique blend of passion, expertise, and strategic thinking to the table. His unwavering commitment to youth empowerment is commendable, and we are excited to collaborate with his agency.” He added that Adeyanju's ability to build collaborative relationships will be crucial in driving positive change for young Nigerians.

This partnership aligns with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda, which prioritizes job creation and empowerment across the nation. The NLTF and NDE are poised to make a significant impact on the employment landscape in Nigeria through this initiative.
