The National Lottery Authority (NLA), through its Good Causes Foundation, has donated GHC 60,000 to Real Tamale United (RTU) Football Club. The presentation was made on Wednesday, 28th May 2025, on behalf of the NLA's Director-General, Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Salam.

The donation forms part of the Foundation’s Youth and Sports Development Pillar, which supports youth empowerment and sporting initiatives aimed at driving regional and national progress in Ghana.

Following the generous gesture, a delegation from RTU paid a courtesy call on Mr. Abdul-Salam the next day, Thursday, 29th May 2025, to express their heartfelt gratitude for the NLA’s continued support.

In his remarks, Mr. Abdul-Salam emphasized that the contribution reflects the Authority’s broader mission to support community-strengthening institutions like RTU, particularly in the northern regions of Ghana. “When RTU thrives, the entire region benefits,” he said, underscoring the club’s role in fostering unity and social development.

RTU representatives expressed sincere appreciation for what they described as the most impactful support the team has received in recent times. They commended the NLA for its dedication to sports development and its commitment to nurturing local talent in Ghana.

The National Lottery Authority remains a key player in Ghana’s lottery and gaming sector. Through its Good Causes Foundation, the Authority continues to invest in initiatives that promote education, health, arts and culture, and sports development across the country.
