Namibian sports betting company PstBet secures license for Congo operations
Namibian sports betting company PstBet has announced that it has been granted approval to operate in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The company will conduct its activities under the name PstBet SARLU.
This approval enables PstBet to offer online sports betting and online virtual digital games in the DRC. This development follows the company's recent entry into the Botswana market, where it was awarded a sports betting license. Additionally, Advocate Mokoko Gaboutloeloe was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for PstBet's Botswana operations.
PstBet entered the Botswana market in August and has now expanded its operations to the DRC. PstBet's expansion into the DRC is part of its broader strategy to increase its presence in the region.
The company, owned by young Namibians, has been involved in sponsoring football and other activities in Namibia.
