Moroccan Lottery CEO Younes El Mechrafi pushes for inclusive practices at WLA Summit
At the World Lottery Summit 2024 in Paris, diversity and inclusion emerged as key themes for the future of the lottery sector.
Mr. Younes El Mechrafi, CEO of La Marocaine Des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS), moderated a panel discussing the strategic importance of these values within organizations, particularly lotteries.
The panel addressed key questions on identifying and eliminating unconscious bias in internal processes, as well as creating safe and inclusive work environments.
Panelists Harold Mays and Camilla Folladori shared best practices for improving diversity, inclusion and equity strategies. They highlighted the need for robust anti-harassment and anti-bullying policies at all organizational levels. This discussion aimed to contribute to a more equitable and respectful future for all individuals in the sector.
The lessons learned from this panel are expected to influence future practices within lottery organizations globally.
The World Lottery Summit 2024 was held in Paris, France, from 21-24 October 2024, and attracted participants from the global lottery and sports betting community. Organized by the World Lottery Association and hosted by Française des Jeux, the biennial event provided a platform for industry professionals to explore trends, innovations and opportunities within the sector.
