Mexican government banned slot machines
Mexico has banned the installation of slot machines in casinos and gaming halls. The corresponding resolution was published last Thursday in the official gazette of the Federation.
According to the contents of the document, licenses to operate slot machines will no longer be issued. Operators who previously received licenses for slot machines will be able to operate them until their expiration date.
Let us remind you that there are currently 444 casinos operating in Mexico. Another 408 licenses previously issued for this activity are not in use. Slot machines annually bring in about 4.7 billion Mexican pesos ($273 million) to the country's budget.
