Mega Millions lottery jackpot reaches $1.1 billion
The American Mega Millions lottery jackpot has reached $1.1 billion. This happened last Friday after another draw without a winner.
The jackpot exceeded $1 billion for the first time in seven months. This also happened for the sixth time in the last six years.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won is $1.602 billion. This amount was won in August 2023 using a ticket purchased in Neptune Beach, Florida.
The Mega Millions lottery is played in 45 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $2.
The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.6 million. Mega Millions drawings take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
