Malawi Gaming Authority backs Mother's Fun Run with K10 Million donation
The Malawi Gaming and Lotteries Authority (MAGLA) has made a significant contribution of K10 million Kwacha to this year's Mother's Fun Run, an initiative organized by National Publications Limited (NPL). The event aims to raise funds to enhance maternity services in public hospitals.
During a symbolic cheque presentation held in Blantyre on September 18, MAGLA Director General Rachael Mijiga expressed the Authority's commitment to supporting NPL's efforts in this noble cause. She emphasized the importance of the initiative in mobilizing resources for maternity wings.
Gambling in Malawi is governed by the Gaming and Lotteries Act of 2022, which established MAGLA to regulate all gambling activities, including casinos, lotteries, and sports betting.
