Macau gross gaming revenue up 67% in January 2024

In January 2024, Macau casinos had gross gaming revenue (GGR) of MOP 19.34 billion (USD 21.41 billion). This was revealed in a report released on February 1 by the Gambling Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) of the Special Administrative Region of China.
According to the contents of the document, Macau casino revenues increased by 67.0% compared to the same period last year. Compared to December last year, revenue increased by MOP 770 million.
Let us remind you that there are 30 casinos operating in the special administrative region of China, including satellite casinos.
13 gambling establishments operate under license and sublicense of the operator SJM Holdings, 5 belong to Venetian Casino, 4 each to Galaxy Casino and Melco Resorts, 2 each to Wynn Resorts and MGM. Macau casinos have a total of 12,000 slot machines and 6,000 gaming tables.
At the end of 2023, the gross gaming income of Macau casinos amounted to 183.06 billion patacas, which is 333.8% more than a year earlier.
