Macau gross gaming revenue increased by 436% in November 2023
In November 2023, Macau casinos had gross gaming revenue (GGR) of MOP16.04 billion ($1.99 billion). This was revealed in a report released on December 1 by the Gambling Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) of the Special Administrative Region of China.
According to the contents of the document, Macau casino revenues increased by 435.2% compared to the same period last year, when they reached MOP 3.00 billion. At the same time, when compared with October of this year, revenues decreased by 3.46 billion patacas.
Macau casino revenues for the 11 months of 2023 amounted to 164.49 billion patacas, which is 324.9% more than a year earlier.
Let us recall that in the third quarter of 2023, 30 casinos, including satellite casinos, operated in the special administrative region of China.
13 gambling establishments operated under a license and sublicense from the operator SJM Holdings, 5 belonged to Venetian Casino, 4 each to Galaxy Casino and Melco Resorts, 2 each to Wynn Resorts and MGM. A total of 12,000 slot machines and 6,000 gaming tables were installed in Macau casinos.
